Since 2007, the Great Parks Foundation has raised funds for Great Parks of Hamilton County through projects that focus on community, protection of greenspace and connecting people with nature.
Bridle Trail ImprovementsIn 2013, Great Parks Foundation raised $8,000, which was matched by Great Parks, to rebuild 1.9 miles of bridle trails at Miami Whitewater Forest. The new trails provide a safer, better experience for horses and their riders.
Construction of Simmonds Family Dog Park
The capital campaign for the Simmonds Family Dog Park was a great success, raising $905,000 for construction of the dog park and supporting infrastructure. The park was opened to the public on June 14, 2014. The facility includes 11 acres of off-leash greenspace for dogs and their owners.
